I was there in the long ago for you when you were scared
Held onto you, helped you to stand when no one else dared
But now they're calling me the bad guy again
I don't fit into their lemming pen
Do what we do or we'll say you have fallen into sin

You don't have to live in desperation
Don't have to care about a thing they say
The words their lies you don't have to listen
Don't believe in them have faith in yourself

No one questions when you follow accepted lies
Let superstition be your  guide while a part of you dies
But when time comes to cast your lot
They'll make you choose love of life or the love of a god
